Volunteer English teacher — AIESEC Global Volunteer, China
Through an AIESEC volunteer programme in Guangzhou and Foshan, I taught children aged 6–12 in classes of around 40 students across several schools. Lessons combined English learning with cultural exchange, using games, songs, movement, flashcards, presentations and hands-on creative activities.
Working in an international environment encouraged me to become more adaptable and resourceful, particularly when communicating with young learners across a language barrier. Learning alongside people from different backgrounds broadened my perspective on both teaching and everyday life. This experience sparked my interest in working abroad and showed me how much I could grow, personally and professionally, through cultural exchange.
